Building A Link Shortener Using Azure SQL Database
30:18 · 29 Jan 2019
In this ACG Project we’ll provision an Azure SQL Database and a serverless function app to create a basic link shortener service in minutes all without leaving the Azure portal. Azure SQL Database is a powerful fully-managed relational database-as-a-service technology provided as part of the Microsoft Azure Cloud.

You’ve just received an urgent call. The owner of the successful website, A French Guru, needs your help. The website has become so popular that the site architecture doesn’t support the load anymore. Contain your panic – Greg Lazarus has you covered! Join Greg in this ACG Project and learn all about faster and scalable deployment using containers and Kubernetes. You’ll discover how to build a Docker image, create a container from that image, and push it to Google Container Registry. By the end of this project you’ll have a basic understanding of Google Kubernetes Cluster architecture and understand how to deploy and orchestrate your containers within Google Kubernetes Engine.

OK Google: Let's Build Serverless Dialogue with RoutineBot
28:15 · 22 Sep 2019
Do you struggle to recall if you’ve taken out the trash today, but lack the patience to log it in your phone with a spreadsheet or some kind of journaling app? Tracking household routines doesn’t have to be a chore when leveraging the hands-free interaction of digital assistants, like Google Home. In this ACG Project, David Haley shows us how to build a conversational agent using Dialogflow in GCP. We’ll learn how to create a Dialogflow project, configure basic training phrases and entities, and fulfill dialogue responses with Cloud Functions we’ve deployed – all while leveraging serverless architecture so we won’t need to manage VMs or traditional infrastructure.

Don’t know your Dachshund from your Doberman? Or your Saint Bernard from your Samoyed? Thankfully, Google’s AutoML Vision is here to save you from future dog breed identification faux paws! In this ACG Project, Daniel Bourke shows us how to build an image classification model and train it to predict a dog’s breed from a photo. We’ll do this by uploading images to Google Cloud Storage and then building the model using the AutoML Vision service. Who says you can’t teach an old dog new tricks!

Everyone loves a bottle of soda. In this household, soda tends to mysteriously disappear overnight! Imagine a system that alerts you the moment someone sneaks a bottle of soda out of the refrigerator. In this ACG Project, Kesha Williams teaches you how to set up an object detection system on AWS DeepLens, a deep learning-enabled video camera. You'll be notified immediately when the system detects when someone takes a bottle of soda from the refrigerator. Soda thieves beware!
